Friction Electrostatic Charging Principle
Friction electrostatic spraying works by passing the powder at high speed through a wavy tube inside the spray gun, causing the powder to frictionally charge as it rubs against the tube walls. Each powder particle becomes positively charged.
This type of spray gun equipment does not require a high-voltage electrostatic emitter to generate a static charge on each particle. During the spraying process, no electrostatic field is needed between the spray gun and the workpiece.
Each powder particle, upon passing through the friction tube, generates its own small electrostatic field. This micro electrostatic field is very weak and is referred to as a weak electric field.
